The Deep Sea Mackerel, often also known as King Mackerel, can reach a size of over 80 kg. Its loins are of excellent size and can easily be sliced by machine. For best results slice these products while semi-frozen. |

The Spanish Mackerel is smaller and much more readily available than the Deep Sea Mackerel. Our Spanish Mackerel is first marinated, peppered then gently cold smoked. |

Smoked Saba Mackerel Products |
|
The Saba Mackerel from Norway is the smallest of the three Mackerel species we process. High in oil, this fish is much loved by the Japanese. Our Saba Mackerel products are hot smoked and therefore fully cooked. They are great eaten cold or easily re-heated for a delicious main meal. Saba Mackerel products from Fassler are boneless. |
